Why does Spotting occur?

What is spotting?
Spotting is when you notice dark brown or pink spots on your underwear or go through a little vaginal bleeding in between two menstrual cycles. Usually, when the menstrual period gets over, a woman expects vaginal bleeding will stop till the next menstrual cycle. Sometimes it is light which isn’t a matter of concern but if it is regular and in abundant form, it is recommended to concern a doctor.

Causes of Spotting-
Implantation bleeding:
Implantation bleeding is the first sign of pregnancy due to which brown spotting can be caused after your mensuration period. It is very natural and there is nothing to worry about.
Birth Control Pills:
According to some study, using birth control pills regularly can be a reason behind abnormal vaginal bleeding. This may happen due to the change in estrogen dose or when you missed to take a pill or changed the time.
Ovulation:
Light vaginal bleeding post menstrual periods could be because of ovulation too. The sudden move in hormone levels can prompt spot amid the procedure of ovulation.
Stress:
Stress leads to many health risks, spotting after the period is one of them. Any kind of emotional and physiological stress can affect your body and play havoc of with your monthly cycle.
Ovarian Cyst:
It is another reason behind the occurrence of spots. Cysts formed in ovaries grow up as a part of the monthly cycle.
